The Epson TM-T88V receipt printer takes the features and capabilities of the TM-T88IV to the next level, giving you a faster, more reliable printer for virtually any installation. A print speed of nearly one foot per second for both text and graphics dramatically cuts print time even on long receipts. Print options are available to reduce paper usage by shrinking fonts or whitespace, further speeding up the checkout process. USB comes standard on all models, with RS-232 Serial, Ethernet, or even 802.11b/g Wireless as additional optional interfaces. When combined with driver support for Windows XP, 2000, Vista, 7, Mac OS X, and Linux, the Epson TM-T88V can be installed anywhere with no headaches.
POS printers and accessories also give you the ability to provide a proof of purchase for each transaction. A printed receipt can greatly assist with returns or exchanges at a later date. To keep your printers printing, use high-quality POS paper.

So when i ordered, it was advertised with the Square thingy + card swipe adapter. It did come with both, in box that looks more like the apple company made it. The products itself looks from apple. Quality seems good, sturdy, I just like the feel I don’t have to worry of grabbing it too hard and break it.
I received this product in exchange for my unbiased opinion. The Square reader is super simple and easy to use. It is an especially good tool for small business owners who want to accept additional forms of payments(such as credit or debit cards) Additionally, the app on the google play store was easy to find and very straightforward. One downside, although somewhat expected are the fees associated with it. For example, 2.75 percent for credit card transactions. Other than that, I recommend this product for it’s simplicity and overall use. 4/5 stars.
I’ve only had it up and running for a couple of weeks now, but it prints and cuts the receipts well and have yet to have any problems with it. Drivers disc makes setting up and installing a snap, and it comes with any/all necessary cables. It even comes with a mount for wall mounting, but in looking at it I’m not sure how you would do that or even why someone might want to 🙂

Use Cases for Bluetooth: Most of the time you will want a Bluetooth Printer if you are very mobile or using a 3G/4G enabled Tablet. Mobile businesses do not want to deal with messy cables which are the major benefit of Bluetooth printers as these are also mobile and often times run on a battery pack. For those with a 3G or 4G Printer you want to choose a Bluetooth Printer due to the networking aspect. Once you are running on 3G or 4G you will not be able to connect to a LAN or WIFI network and also use your 3G/4G feature. Due to this, it’s best to opt for a Bluetooth Printer in your bundle so you can utilize your 3G/4G functionality on your Tablet.

Tips and information here.
Some products utilize the keyboard shortcut ‘Fn + Esc’; the product information will appear after a short delay. If that doesn’t work, this information can also be found on your bar code stickers, which may be located behind the battery.
The printer is fine but bluetooth connectivity has been an incredible challenge. We have probably wasted 20 hours wrestling with it in the few weeks we have had it. The Starprint utility can say it is not connected when it is … and vice versa. The Bluetooth says it is not connected yet we can print a receipt from the register. The delay communicating via bluetooth means we have to leave a key in teh till drawer rather than wait for it to eventually open even though we have adjusted the utility and timing. So, while the printer is fine, don’t go bluetooth because you can’t use a cable even if you want to as there’s no socket …. just bluetooth ! So, buy a cable printer version and be happier !

Bluetooth is a wireless technology that is primarily designed for use in mobile devices, such as mobile phones. Unlike Wi-Fi, Bluetooth is designed to be used over short distances — typically just a few metres. The benefit of Bluetooth is that it draws very little power, so it’s kind to your phone’s battery. It does, however, have some drawbacks, not least that Bluetooth connections are typically much slower than Wi-Fi connections.

Recently, we’ve also seen the advent of cloud printing services. These services allow you to send documents and photos to your printer from anywhere in the world. So you can send a photo of New York you’ve just taken on your mobile to your printer back home, for example. And if your printer is ‘cloud ready’, it doesn’t need to be connected to a PC for cloud printing to work. As long as it’s turned on and connected to your Wi-Fi network, it’ll start printing once it’s received the data via the Internet. Kodak’s Hero 7.1 (pictured right) is just one example of a cloud-ready printer.
Epson’s iPrint supports printing of a range of different file formats from your phone or tablet, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files. Naturally, it also lets you print photos and scan documents.
You could be sitting in an Internet café in Sydney, for example, and send some photos to your printer at home, so your family can see what you’ve been up to on your travels. Or you could be at your office a few miles from your house and print out your boarding pass for a flight you have to catch later, so it’s ready for you to pick up when you get home.
